I'd love to contrast this to a typical scene from 20 years ago. What did people do befor computers and smart phones?
ReplyDeleteObservations, observations. Are the stones of the bench especially tilted to prevent people lying there. Seems to sit okay.
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be to discourage skateboarders from riding the edge.
DeleteSome people can work everywhere...
ReplyDeleteI wish DC had more urban furniture.
ReplyDeleteI admire her ability to concentrate in such a position and in the cold.
ReplyDeleteMy Granddaughter can study like that and come out on top. . Why not. They are noisy pron this generation. They are social butterfly's.
ReplyDeleteApparently the teachers give assignments and encourage them to use computers. The teachers complain they need a strike more money. I don't think so. They don't know how good they got it in this generation. In our time Andy teachers were there early morning and over time as well.
Good street picture. Andy. Did you not get over to my fire picture to have a look at the beautiful farm home that was gone to ashes. I brought this to your attention as you like to take Historic snaps. As such. Scroll down on my page you will see it.
Doesn't look like a place for high concentration.
ReplyDeleteAnother good street shot, Andy! I always look for someone that I know!
ReplyDeleteShe seems comfortable sitting there. Some people can concentrate better with fresh air.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could study and work like that still, oh youth!
ReplyDeleteKids can do their homework anywhere they can sit and fire up their laptops.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't she be better off in a library or even a cafe?
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit chilly! But a wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteShe seems engrossed in what she's doing. Nice shot.
