Spotting

Andy | Saturday, March 15, 2014 | Best Blogger Tips

When I snapped this photo I thought he was a photographer.
I went over and talked to him and found out he was carrying a spotting scope or telescope. As it turned out he's a birdwatcher.

  1. Gona say it's an odd looking camera but if you a bit away it's had to tell & I would have done the same as you

  4. Wow, he is a serious 'twitcher', it's a shame he doesn't capture them on camera though. Your snow looks amazing Andy!

  5. Still looks a bit chilly there, Andy. I've seen bird-watchers in Cedar Key, Florida. Whole groups of them. And their equipment rivals the best of our cameras. I just can't understand why people go to so much trouble to find and look at birds and then walk away without photographing them. :)

  6. His "scope" appears to match his jacket. He's camouflaged well.

  9. Those birders can have some amazing optics. Like Lowell, it seems odd to see birds up close like that and not take a shot.
(BTW: Thanks for the browser suggestions. I switched back to Chrome a day or two ago. First time I tried it a year or so ago it didn't work so well. Now it seems fine, especially compared to IE.)
