It was a nice building but it certainly uses some upgrades. Sometimes demolition is better then repair.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great looking building. Let's hope it can be restored though it would take a lot of money..
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like an eyesore!
ReplyDeleteI can see why they might opt to level it, but that would be a shame. With some money and work this could be a beautiful place and serve as a museum or restaurant or some other such. It really is in pretty bad shape, though! Impressive photos.
ReplyDeleteNeeds a new roof.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a shame. I like the look of this building so much more but, it certainly has been left to ruin.
ReplyDeleteI was going to suggest restoring it...then I saw the second photo.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame to level it, the exterior brick is nice. I see some nice Victorian elements.
ReplyDeleteNeeds a lot more than a new roof. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Andy! It needs a new roof, at least. LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteThis poor old building is still great to n it's decrepit state! I'm fascinated by old falling down buildings ... All that history, all those stories, all those questions about what happened. Happy NewcYear!
DeleteI think from the looks of it it's beyond saving.
ReplyDeleteToo bad but it looks pretty downtroden, Andy! I can't see it being fixed.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it got to that condition, but you can tell it was a good looking building at one time.
ReplyDeleteIf walls could talk!
ReplyDeleteSorry it's looking so sad!
ReplyDeleteToo bad it was left to ruin. It had nice details and might have had a productive new life.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a very beautiful buildning on it's time.
ReplyDeleteNow someone should do something, and fast before the building collapses.
wonderful viewpoint and the perfect sky, too. Very neat with the lower vantage point.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful old building Andy it just needs restoring, someone should snap it up as a home...
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to evaluate without knowing what is around it. I am guessing the train station is not in a populated enough place where converting it to a restaurant or a gift store or an information center would work. So, likely, down it goes.
ReplyDeleteI would take lots more pictures here and would like to see it restored and re-purposed - someone out there must have deep pockets!
ReplyDeleteI think we have one station near highway 48 like this. Not sure if it is not in use. Have not been there for many years.
ReplyDeleteWould like your permission to use your photo of the train station on a Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteYes... you have my permission. Please send me the link to the Facebook page.
