Odd Man Out

Notice how the seagull in the middle does not fit in with the rest of the group. He is larger and his markings are different.
Anyone have any answers?

  2. It is a funny photo, looking at the birds in the back ground showing off who is the best waterrunner!
The other bird, the seagull, an obstructionist, I am looking to the other way.

  3. So nice to see the geese landing there in full speed. Oh and there always needs to be one individual to stand out..

  4. Being different has its good points, one of which is being noticed!

  5. Seagulls seem to come in a variety of colors. Have no idea why? Great catch on the goose takeoff runway.

  11. I like all those comments! A teacher giving lessons, waterrunners, one that wants to be different, the picture obviously speaks! My answer is pretty dull in comparison, but i'm thinking Greater Black-backed Gull, an occasional winter visitor to the Great lakes.
