Teacher giving practice lessons to his pupils in starting flying from the water surface.
ReplyDeleteIt is a funny photo, looking at the birds in the back ground showing off who is the best waterrunner!
ReplyDeleteThe other bird, the seagull, an obstructionist, I am looking to the other way.
So nice to see the geese landing there in full speed. Oh and there always needs to be one individual to stand out..
ReplyDeleteHe's a Greater Black-backed Gull. :)
ReplyDeleteBeing different has its good points, one of which is being noticed!
ReplyDeleteSeagulls seem to come in a variety of colors. Have no idea why? Great catch on the goose takeoff runway.
ReplyDeleteHe's a standout! I love that they're all doing their own thing.
ReplyDeleteNo answer here but, the others don't seem to mind his differences.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just are who you are, being where you want to be.
ReplyDeleteA different species, maybe?
ReplyDeleteNice capture. I love the action along with the odd man out looking the other way.
ReplyDeleteI like the race in the background, Andy!
ReplyDeleteI like all those comments! A teacher giving lessons, waterrunners, one that wants to be different, the picture obviously speaks! My answer is pretty dull in comparison, but i'm thinking Greater Black-backed Gull, an occasional winter visitor to the Great lakes.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's lost..
ReplyDeletelanding or takeoff?
ReplyDeleteAnd his coloration is so different. He definitely stands out.
