Living In Plastic

Andy | Tuesday, February 23, 2016 | Best Blogger Tips

February has been a roller coaster ride of up and down temperatures. This is the second massive thaw this month. If you want to live out the winter on a boat, plastic wrap is a must. It doesn't keep the heat in but it keeps the draughts out. The wind was blowing strong and quickly blew the black cloud out of sight to the east.

  1. Nice overview Andy. Its a way to keep it a little warmer but its not easy to keep a boat warm in cold waters.

    1. Yes they do. The boat is there home. No property taxes to pay.

  3. I was just listening to a report about the El Nino effect this year and how it has sent some warm air all the way up to your area. We have a very windy night last night.

  8. Great sky! But I'm not sure that this kind of living appeals to me.

  9. Well I have never seen or heard of a boat with plastic on it. I expect that's due to where I live.
    Nice capture.

  10. That's interesting. The only boats I've seen wrapped in plastic are ones taken out of the water and winterized. It's not as brutal here for liveaboards, though it's not a cakewalk either.

  13. I am so far behind in my commenting. I cannot imagine living on your boat in real cold weather. I have never seen the plastic wrapping. That is ingenious. What a great capture of them and that sky.
