Seems like a very high reward.

  1. Indeed very much. This you don't see here . So much bikes stolen that nobody lets his/her bike unattended on the street unless its an old unattractive one for the city traveller no more worth of a few euro's and still locked with two or three chains and locks. Some thieves just put them in a trolley and bring them to a place where they have the time to undo them from the chains if it isn't locked to a fence or a tree. On the other hand you can also buy an old one for a few euro's for the same reason.

  2. Agreed. Nice street scene, looks like you scooped the guy with the camera.

  3. Indeed! Perhaps they meant $15.00 and forgot the decimal point...?

  4. That would be impossible here to get your bike back this way. So many bikes are stolen and you never see them again, or painted over in other colours.

  9. It is so sad when someone has a favorite bike stolen. With a reward this high the owner must really want the bike back. Hope it was insured.

  11. That bike is probably long gone but it's worth a notice just in case there is a good samaritan out there. Odds are not good though. I see you got a fellow photographer out there in the street.

  12. That is definitely a high reward. I'm guessing it's a racing bike, probably worth $4 - 5K.

  13. A good bike can cost thousands- I wonder if he will have any luck - may be buying it back from the thief.

  14. What? No! They ought to do with bike thieves what they used to do with cattle rustlers.

  16. Does seem a good reward but the bike must have cost a fair bit of money.
