This is a small portion of the waterfront trail that is 1400 km (870 miles) long.
It stretches from the Town of Lakeshore on Lake St. Clair to the Quebec border, following the shores of Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River in Ontario, Canada. When I took this photo the temperature was -23°C or -9°F. I saw no cats, dogs or birds... just me and they say I belong to the intelligent species.
That looks cold indeed and I see also some broken branches of the trees. Rough conditions for sure. Keep it safe Andy,
ReplyDeleteSo many similarities to Minnesota, including the description of a CDP blogger on a photo shoot!
ReplyDeleteWow! Andy keep it safe.
ReplyDeletelol about the intelligent species :D that looks like here too! brrrr
ReplyDeleteIt looks chilly, but none the less lovely to these ole southern eyes. Nice shot, Andy.
ReplyDelete:)
I would love to ride my bike on a trail like that one! Not with the snow though. You did have a bit of blue sky for the picture.
ReplyDeleteNice walking trail! We have one similar, but not nearly as long. Yours looks just like ours at the moment, too!
ReplyDeleteThat final line was great! Great shot, both the image and the one at yourself.
ReplyDeleteIt looks just too cold!
ReplyDeleteWhat we bloggers will do to get a shot! This is a lovely shot though, so thank you. I see a few broken limbs from that nasty ice storm you had a while back.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the trail gets maintained in winter. Ours don't get any winter clearing, so we must wait until after the spring melt. Spring is now 54 days away.
ReplyDeleteYou're a brave man, Andy! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAllan Gardens was a treacherous skating rink when I was there so I didn't do the murals - thought I would wait until conditions were safer.
Looks deserted and entirely too cold! Is it a paved road then?
ReplyDeleteI love a good photo of a path or trail. I can always imagine myself being there.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family.
gorgeous...but it does look cold!
ReplyDeleteWell, it does look as if the trail is traveled. But oh, my! That is some serious cold weather! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGreat trail scene, Andy. (Love your comment about the intelligent species . . . I might steal it.)
ReplyDeleteI like this trail! What a fine place it would be in the summer. What the heck were you doing out there?
ReplyDelete870 miles? That's incredible. I figured out you could run just about 39 marathons along that trail!
Re your comment on Ocala: And that ain't all that's wrong! :)
I miss Canada!
