Signs, Signs - Deceptive Appearance

The checkerboard road sign warns of danger. This one is also an illusion. Stare at the sign and tell me if the right or left side corner is closer. Be careful, in might switch to the opposite side. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs.

    I dunno. They seem the same to me. Different kind of "caution" sign than we have here. I can see some United Statian driving along, seeing the sign, saying "Wonder what that means?" and then driving right into the water! :)

    I've never seen a sign like this before. If we have them in the U.S. they're probably regularly stolen for board games... 8-)

    EEEK Op art gives me a headache...my weak brain can't handle it! Neat sign though...assumes some brains on the part of the visitor...ours would probably have a paragraph or two of explanation and what we call "CYA" signage.
