Halifax, Nova Scotia. - So far this is my all time favourite character I have photograph on the street. He had a ghetto blaster and was dancing to the music. He also had a empty coffee cup in one hand hoping for people to make a donation. The first thing that impress me about him was that he was offering entertainment (rather than begging) for loose change.

The guy looks happy but I hope it is not from a drug or alcohol.
ReplyDeleteHe was smoking... could have been a reefer.
DeleteDid you offer him something in his coffee cup? His audience doesn't look very impressed by his performance.
ReplyDeleteHope you dropped him a couple of dollars
ReplyDeleteSometimes you gotta sell your skills!
ReplyDeleteWhat a smile!
ReplyDeleteLove your captures. Fun to watch people on the street and so good if it is entertaining!
ReplyDeleteHe's cute and seems to enjoy the attention.
ReplyDeleteCute kid! You couldn't get away with smoking a J in our downtown.
ReplyDeleteWhat a character! You got him just right!
ReplyDeleteHe was in a happy mood!
ReplyDeleteThe distinction between dancing and begging is fairly elusive. (I like his expression of recognition.)
ReplyDeleteSad that he has to do this, but he's making it entertaining. We have a guy that dresses up like Lady Liberty during tax season, to promote a local tax service. He stands on the corner of a very busy highway, dancing and singing all day long. I must remember to photograph him next=t year!!
