Monday Men With Beards - Streetcar

Andy | Monday, May 12, 2014 | | Best Blogger Tips

The big guy with the red beard is a streetcar driver. The streetcar had entered into a turn and the pole had come off the overhead power line. He had just placed it back on it and was heading back to the driver's seat. Like most public servants there was a time when beards were a no, no.

  1. I am afraid the guy seats to much and move to little. But an all to normal view these days. Is the streetcar company not looking after these facts? Still another time capsule shot of our era. Thanks for showing Andy.

  4. I remember when that facial hair ban was in place. That driver has to know how to do more than just drive.

  5. Really, I didn't know that (about no beards). Couldn't pull off rules like that now!

  6. It is a nice street shot. I know Andy word verification is a pain but I have been invaded by anonymous comments this past week. Sorry about that.

    1. Spammers have also been in invading my blog. Lucky for me Blogger spam control only let one slip through.

  7. I was more drawn to his gait/style of walking than the beard. It is a nice beard, though.

  8. There was a time, also, when long hair was a no no too. And women had to wear skirts - no trousers. And, for that matter, tatoos were pretty marginal.
