Photo taken at dusk. Acadia served Canada for more than five decades from 1913 to 1969, charting the coastline of almost every part of Eastern Canada including pioneering surveys of Hudson Bay. She was also twice commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) as HMCS Acadia, the only ship still afloat to have served the RCN in both World Wars. Today she is a museum ship, designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, moored in Halifax Harbour at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

On Monday August 21 there was a lot hype over the solar eclipse. In my part of the world the eclipse peeked with a 70% coverage of the sun. Towards the end of the day the sun made up for the blackout with this lovely sunset.

By the looks of things the house has been deserted for sometime. I could see a number of run down items like washing machines and furniture on the inside. It appears the former home is being used for storage.
