Saving Time

Today it is time to "spring forward". The majority of Canadians will adjust their clocks forward an hour on March 12, 2023, marking the beginning of eight months of extended daylight into the evening. In 2020, the province passed legislation that would put an end to it, which would make daylight saving time permanent. However, the change can only come around if Quebec and New York do the same. Since 2020, nothing more has happened with the bill, even though it has received royal assent.

Garden Turtles

Since 2006, Vandermeer Nursery has taken in many pet turtles in need of a place to live. They offer a temporary home for these reptiles in need who may be neglected, mistreated or are otherwise unwanted. Their end goal is finding appropriate new “forever” homes for the turtles. They also encourage photographers (like me) to take all the photos we want.
