Signs, Signs - Monkey Business

This is the newest shop to open for business in my neighbourhood. In my opinion the young people that work here are modern day artist that use skin instead canvas for their art work.

Goose Parade

I live close to the water so I have lots of opportunities to photograph life on the bay. I spotted these geese and thought they were trying to organize themselves to do some synchronized swimming.

There're Back!

Turn the clock back about twenty years and you would not have seen these birds in my part of the country. Now of days when spring returns in Ontario so do the cormorants

Looking down from the top of a cliff. This could be paradise for anyone collecting driftwood.

Man In The Kayak

I was out exploring the north end of the bay when I spotted this sight on the water. When he got close to me we had an interesting conversation.

Trilliums

Trilliums are the official symbol for the Province of Ontario. This is the only time of year you will see them growing in the wild.

Trafalgar Castle School

The first time I saw this building it just grabbed my eyes. Driving down a residential street in Whitby it just suddenly appears when you don't expect to see something out of the ordinary.

The main doors are known as The Lion Entrance. In 1859, this imposing structure was originally built for Nelson Reynold's, the sheriff of the county and took three years to complete. A mock-Elizabethan castle even has a legendary "hidden chamber" and a secret tunnel to complete it's reputation as a true castle of old. At the time of my visit the school was closed and I never got the chance to explore the interior.

In 1879, it came into the possession of the Methodist Church who turned it into the Ontario Ladies' College which changed names in 1979 to Trafalgar Castle School and is recognized as one of the finest private girls school's in the province.

Tanks A Lot

I have absolutely no info on this tank.
It's located at The Oshawa Military and Industrial Museum. The museum showcases the largest collection of running and otherwise operational military equipment in Canada.
