This is the newest shop to open for business in my neighbourhood. In my opinion the young people that work here are modern day artist that use skin instead canvas for their art work.
Andy...I am so jealous of you finding that great door handle. It is superb. I also agree that tattoo art is definitely an art form only it is on the body instead of on paper. I read your comment about the Canadian syrup and I started thinking....I drink Canadian whiskey...Crown Royal, Canadian Mist, Canadian Club, Grand Canadian. genie
I concede there is an artistry to it, but tattoos have never appealed to me in the aesthetic sense. In fact they creep me out. I did read John Irving's Until I Find You, much about the tattoo world, and while fascinating, did not endear me to the art form. Neither does my friend's amazing photo journal on Pinoy Gang Tattoos. And frankly, the last thing I would do is let monkeys ink me! LOL! But I like their store front and the handle is uber-cool.
I do admire the artistry of some tattoo artists. But I still don't want one! :)
ReplyDeleteAn intriguing canvas for sure. A living canvas.one
ReplyDeleteWouldn't want one, but I have seen some gorgeous tattoos. Yesterday at REI (outdoor shop) I saw some doorhandles like picks.
ReplyDeleteVery cool handle. i don't like needles so won't be heading in for a tat!
ReplyDeleteGood sign.
