Winter Geese

Unless the deep snow covers farm fields Canada Geese will spend the winter here. They fly inland to feed in fields where they can find spilled corn, oats and soybeans. They also like to arrive in large numbers.

Why Do Shoppers Abandon Cart?

Some people believe the cart is simply too far from their spot (also known as laziness), while others blame it on young children who can't be left unattended or Mother Nature's untimely downpours. Then there are people who assume it's just the store employees job to collect the carts.

Repairs

This is a flash back to October 2012 when Hurricane Sandy took the siding off my house. It took the workers two days to complete the job. Compared to the USA I was lucky. Sandy smashed through all 49 towns along New Jersey's 127-mile coastline from Sea Bright to Cape May with the worst damage in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The fog has been hanging around here for three Days.

Time Change

Daylight Saving Time came to an end in Ontario today, with residents having to remember to set their clocks back an hour at 2:00 a.m. on November 6. While there has been a huge push for Ontario to cease observing the practice like the Yukon, Hawaii, Arizona, most of Saskatchewan and parts of Quebec and British Columbia that don't move their clocks, New York State and the entirety of Quebec would need to be on board, lawmakers have decided, which doesn't look like it's set to happen anytime soon.
