Fishing is mostly about being out in nature. If one really wants fish just go to the store. Tesla and Edison didn't get along. Edison wanted DC power, but Tesla thought AC was the way to go, and in hindsight, he was right. Tesla was mocked for his ideas.
He was probably enjoying just being out there in the peaceful water.
