This is fun, what's the story behind this?
I'm sure there is a perfectly logical reason for this....(Love your comment!)
Oh, what a hoot!! I bet you can be sure you'll be the only one with an entry like this one!! Fun post for the S Day!SylviaABC Team
HA! Totally NOT the shoe tree I expected!ROG, ABC Wednesday team
LOL!!! Love it! Could be nasty in a storm, though.
Great picture. Where was this taken? Thinking of getting one to store my shoes.
I remember my grandfather had shoe trees. Even though I knew what "shoe trees" were, I would always imagine something like this! Great photo, Andy. LOL— KKay, Alberta, CanadaAn Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel
I've heard of these but never seen one. Do they stand for something other than a funny idea?
Super shot for S. I thought I'd seen a lot of shoes on wires and in trees before but this takes the cake. Or should I say it's a huge SLICE of the cake.
Very VERY creative ABC shot! I love it.
This is a cool photo - yet I can't help but feel sorry for this poor tree!I am looking forward to following your work.
Funny - but why?
I would also like to know the story behind this shot. I read once about a charity that provides shoes to kids that need them. the article said they hang the old ones (usually almost unrecognizable as shoes) on the fence outside the door so others will: 1.) beable to find them. 2.) be reminded to donate and 3.) so folks will understand just how bad the need is.
Rita, I wish I knew the story behind the shoe tree but I don't. Me and the wife were just out for a drive going over old territory that we hadn't see for a while when came across the sight. I just assumed it was young people having some fun.
