If you see a sign like this one, you are in Mennonite country. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs.

  1. This is a charming sign, Andy! Have I ever told you how back in the mid-90s I had this idea of setting up a website for people to post interesting and unique caution signs? Unfortunately then the WWW was not as user friendly and my idea dies a techno-moron's death. But I think of it every time I see a sign like this... and this is already the second THIS WEEK!

  2. I've seen caution signs for the Amish down here, but not the Mennonites. The Amish signs show a covered buggy with horse. Pretty cows in your scene! =)

  6. I will pay attention to this type of sign. Although I have never been to a Mennonite country.

  7. Nice shot. It is a bit odd to see both the signs and the horse and buggies. I always wonder how the fuel prices compare...lol

  13. A few months ago, I was riding my motorcycle through Amish country in Lancaster County, PA and saw a buggy sign, but I couldn't find a good spot to photograph one from. Next time, I'll put a small camera in my pocket. I think your buggy is more elaborate.
