  1. I see a problem rising with frozen hands trying to use a smart phone. They are not smart enough to heat themselves in the cold and using them with gloves is also still a no go. Should be interesting to read the statistics after this winter .

  2. I noticed the furcoat at first. That will keep her warm for sure. Here you hardly can wear one because you will be critized by the anti-fur people shouting at you in the streets.

    oh wait. I completely forgot that I have a fur coat (given to me). now may be the time to wear it.

  7. It's all about layers and avoiding frostbite. Our metropolitan area unfortunately has recorded several deaths and a record number of frostbite cases during this past week because of the Polar Vortex.

  11. I'll take any of these techniques - it got incredibly cold here for the area (though I realize -15 is probably not too bad by Canadian standards:). Long johns are a necessity now!

  15. You caught 'em all. I wouldn't trade: rain is a lot easier to take than minus temperatures. And my friends in California are worrying about a drought. My only complaint is that there are supposed to be sightings of the aurora borealis tonight (not common at this latitude) and we're socked in with cloud cover. Big disappointment.
