  9. It's difficult to find anything *not* made in China! However, I just bought a couple packages of sweet bell peppers this week. Each package had one red pepper and one orange pepper in it. The package clearly stated the orange pepper was from Canada and the red pepper from Mexico. Purchased in Indiana. Last time I checked, Canada is north of Indiana, so how do ya'll grow peppers sooner than we do? ;-D

    1. According to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the province is home to 1,800 acres of greenhouse vegetable facilities. Much of it is located in the Leamington, Ontario region, North America’s largest concentration of greenhouse vegetable production.

  10. "Bitter" doesn't describe my attitude, but I do think we in North America have been very shortsighted about offshoring so much of our essential manufacturing capacity. Yes, we do save a small amount of money, but we lose jobs that cannot be replaced easily, and we find ourselves held captive to nations that might not always be friendly.

  11. China and Korea side by side...
I sincerely hope this food wasn't really 'made in China' - that's a long way to travel for your take out!
