Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - German Sailors from the Frigate Niedersachsen taking in the sights of the city. A number of international vessels arrived at the Halifax dockyard including the USS Leyte Gulf, USS Anzio and USS Medgar Evers, the German ship FBS Niedersachsen and the Turkish ship TCG Kemalreis. The ships are part of NATO’s maritime defense group, which is called Standing NATO Maritime Group TWO, or SNMG2. With Canadian warships HMCS Athabaskan, Fredericton, Halifax, Glace Bay and Shawinigan, will take part in warfare training off the Atlantic coast. Fifteen aircraft will also be involved in the exercise.

  1. Marine uniform are mostly the same but here it looks like they have their tropical outfit on.

    1. Suddenly the temperatures here are going up. The sailors have also just come from ports of call in Florida. That might explain their tropical uniform.
