Shed

It looks like a barn but in present day it is a storage shed. Located in a small rural town I am sure it was used at one time for animals. I am guessing chickens. On the left that is a outhouse... no longer in use.

On the inside the only thing of interest was the lonely teddy bear on the shelf.

  1. It is so beautiful built with all the wooden shelfs.

  2. A shed which does not miss look compared with those whom we have at our home. A lot of charm

  3. ...a reminder of simpler times.

  4. Great shed. One in balance with its surroundings. I like that.

  5. The outhouse certainly gives it a uniqueness. The rustic coloring is nice. And the teddy bear seems to be waving as if to say 'bet you didn't expect to see me here.'

  6. That teddy bear is a very strange item to find in such a place. But I'll bet if you were to dig around the shed or under the flooring, you'd find all kinds of interesting things...old bottles, especially. God, I hate those old outhouses. They're bad enough in the summer but in the winter, forget it!

  7. What a nice looking barn. I'm glad it is still useful. However, that teddy bear is a bit sad. Someone needs to rescue him.

  8. That old barn has great texture. It will likely continue to stand so long as the roof holds together. Makes for a good photo.

  9. You wonder how long the teddy bear has been there.

  11. A nice old building, I wonder how long the teddy has sat there?

    All the best Jan

  12. Most chicken coops are long, low rectangular buildings (we used to live near Petaluma, CA, which at one time billed itself as the "chicken capital of the world") and chickens are housed on either side of a long run. The height of this makes me think it may be a hay barn (we now live in an area where there's a lot of haying) or as a home for wayward teddy bears. But those are just my guesses.
