Introduced in the 1990's in large urban cities pop-up shops are temporary retail spaces that sell merchandise of any kind. Term: Typically 3 days to 3 months. Location: High foot traffic areas such as city centers, malls, and busy streets. Price: Much lower than a traditional store, typically paid upfront... and long lineups waiting to get in.

  4. The idea of the pop-up shop reminds me of a movie with Peter Sellers and Ringo Star called the Magic Christian. Shops would open, give away stuff, and then close. It was a funny film.
