Desoto is a name I haven't heard in ages. Great find.
ReplyDeleteA great classic!
ReplyDeleteMy Dad was a DeSoto dealer until 1952 when he sold the agency. Up until then he drove a new DeSoto every couple of months. The car in your picture is somewhere in the mid 1950s. That sure is a toothy grill.
ReplyDeleteI've not heard of the model before.
ReplyDeleteHusband has heard of that vehicle..
ReplyDeleteDesoto was not very common in Canada. I'm surprised to see the Sask license plate.
ReplyDeleteNever one of my favorite cars, and most of the Chrysler products were less than inspiring till the second half of the 50's. Whenever you see one of the classic films showing NYC, most of the cabs are Desotos. This one was a great catch because of the rarity!
ReplyDeleteCars with broad shoulders and teeth. Those were the days.
