Just saying...I noticed the price of a litre of gas, is the same as the the station's address number located on the right hand side of the sign.

This Old House

No one lives here anymore. Along with other houses on the street, it is being proposed that homes be demolished and replaced with five new semidetached dwellings.

Chinese Food

I was out and about in an older part of town.

Country House

The house was built in 1860. On March 16, 2021, a fire broke out with the two occupants inside. They were able to escape, but there was extensive damage to the interior. At the present time no one lives there and the house is boarded up.

Out Of Gas

The big .O means they have run out of gas. A shortage of tanker truck drivers, along with the pandemic related travel surge, is causing supply chain bottlenecks and shortages.

St. Joseph Church

The Church is one of the focal points of present day Whitevale, Ontario. It was built to replace the Canadian Methodist Chapel built in 1854. Eventually the church was repurchased and converted to a Greek Orthodox Church.

Byam’s General Store

Byam’s store located in Tyrone, Ontario was a landmark for years. The building itself was built as a hotel in 1835 during the area’s pioneer lumbering days. Frederick Byam started his store in 1887 and moved to this location in 1894. Frederick’s son, Lionel, took over the store after his return from World War One. His son, Clifford, took over in 1965 and operated the business until January 2004. When Lionel died in 1982 many local people remembered that if it wasn’t for his kindness and generosity their families would not have survived the Great Depression of the 1930’s.

Regent Theatre

In the town of Picton, Ontario in the heart of Prince Edward County lies the Regent Theatre, a historic gem and cornerstone of the community. One of the few Edwardian-era opera theatres left in Canada. Regent Theatre has been open for over a century—with its historic roots predating even the arrival of cinema in Canada.

Universal City #3

I started documenting this condo project in 2019. Due to Covid-19 the construction got off to a slow start. Recently it has picked up speed and work has started on 9th floor. The total number of floors is expected to reach 17.

Trump Hotel - Toronto

In 2017, InnVest Hotels acquired Toronto's Trump Hotel. They ditched the name, and, after a year long renovations, 

transformed the building into Canada's first St. Regis Hotel.

The price of fuel is down and so is the demand. People are staying home to avoid spreading the coronavirus.

A little Bit Of History

Over 100 years old the building has been bought by a condo developer for $31.5 million. It was built in The City Of Toronto sometime around 1874. Over the years it went through various name changes until 1985 when it became Filmores Hotel with a bump and grind strip club. It has remained that way ever since.
