Beginning in the 1890's the bell was used in Pickering Village Ontario to alert the volunteer firemen to report for duty. It is now a piece of history. What else does "H stand for? Find out at ABC Wednesday

  1. What a great idea! So much nicer than what they used to call the volunteer firemen in the village where I grew up. They had an old wartime 'all clear' siren. It was LOUD and it struck terror into the hearts of those who were taken unawares, especially those who'd lived through the war. And we lived three houses away from the station! LOL!

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)
