They are to domesticated I suppose?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are waiting for the holidays to be over.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully lit, Andy.
ReplyDeleteI think the same thing about robins I see! They used to disappear and be the first sign of spring. Now I see a few here searching for food when everything is covered in snow! They don't eat seed. It's a little crazy!
ReplyDeleteAnother fine composition...love the branches ... the ducks, geese, etc., you can keep. We've got enough Canadian snow-birds down here already! :)
ReplyDeleteSome of their relatives have arrived here to spend the winter on our pond.
ReplyDeleteGeese will hang around in the north if there is a source of food. They don't seem to mind the cold. Chicago has a huge population of geese that spend the winter there. There is food, and many small lakes kept open all winter with aerators, perfect for the geese. Don't know about swans and ducks.
ReplyDeleteNice light, Andy!
ReplyDeleteI guess that as long as there's water, it's far enough south for them. Lovely pic, Andy.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful shot! You're outdoing yourself with this series.
ReplyDeleteWe have ducks in our neighborhood that I've seen hanging out on ponds that are frozen over. I guess even waterfowl can put down roots. How they survive is another thing entirely.
If I could fly away, I would!
ReplyDeleteAs long as there's open water they'll hang around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wide open wonderful space that is, Andy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! as are the pics from the last several days. Very very nice.
