Oh what a joy that street photography. Saw yesterday an exhibition of color photography made between 1880 and 1920 for a Paris banker Albert Kahn who sent photographers around the world to show other people how everybody lives. The difficulties then and the easyness now made me very humble but hope that the photo’s will have the same impact over a hundred years as the ones I saw yesterday.
Jeez--- I thought the garbage can was part of the mural for a few seconds.... Wonderful picture. Back in the 50's Mary Jane was a euphemism for grass, so it was the first thing I thought of when I saw your title.
The decoration of the facade is original but it leaves unmoved the passer-by who saw the photographer
ReplyDelete...doesn't Mary Jane know that smoking isn't good for you?
ReplyDeleteCool shot.
ReplyDeleteYou hardly see those shops anymore, they are all almost gone.
ReplyDeleteShe takes your money and you burn it

ReplyDeleteYou have been spotted, Andy!
ReplyDeleteI love Bill's comment. I wonder how many shops like that are around here that I've never noticed. I like the mural on the front.
ReplyDeleteThe fellow in your photo is the frosting on the cake. Mary Jane must be legal where you live.
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely been noticed!

ReplyDeleteNice shot! It's amazing what an industry MJ has spawned. There are so many forms of it...it boggles the mind.
ReplyDeleteThe whole photo is like a painting, not only the mural in the wall.
