American Graffiti is just slightly before my time and, when I finally saw it, I was not overly impressed. But Jurassic Park on the semi-big screen......I'd do it again and again. Great shot that looks a lot like small town, middle America to me, even though it's in Nova Scotia.
Al Whittle Theater plays great movies. What a gem!
When I was a kid my mother gave me money for lunch. Sometimes I skipped my lunches to save money for the movie theater. It also was old and the seats were old but it so my favorite theater and it was my little paradise. I like very, very much this image!!!
Where I grew up there were big city theaters and there were small town theaters. We lived in between and I could be found watching Stewart Granger and John Wayne in either...
...so nice to see!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Andy!
ReplyDeleteFine looking marque similar to the one over the theater of my youth.

Oh gosh, me too! I miss seeing them around.
ReplyDeleteI remember that I really liked "American graffiti". I like these old cinemas that still remain, we don't have many of them here in France anymore
ReplyDeleteThere's still the odd one here too. The Bytowne cinema downtown here has an entrance like this.
ReplyDeleteMem - o - ries . . .

Beautiful! I like the charme of this.
ReplyDeleteNice to see this still in use. We have a drive in theater in my small community that is still in use and quite popular.
