October 8, 2019. It is not unusual to see people gather stones on the lake shore. This is a good location to find stones that are worn smooth. |

...In Maui after a storm, people head to the beach in search of seaworn glass.
ReplyDeleteIt is always a popular pastime at the water's edge. I have stones that I collected when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition with the lake in diagonal. I like the red hat of this women
ReplyDeleteI can her the water in this photo. Smooth stones and often bits of colored glass.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a young girl living in Illinois, we used to do the same thing on the shores of the Mississippi.
ReplyDeleteooooh i have been in that exact position, looking for glass...and sometimes a few stones but mostly glass!! with all that has washed up, she should do well!! i love the picture and the title!!
ReplyDeletei like the way that you framed her to one side Andy... good composition....peter:)
ReplyDeleteI like collecting rocks too and you come across some interesting shapes.
ReplyDeleteUna simpática escena marina, muy bien encuadrada. Yo también cojo piedras curiosas, del monte, que me lleva a casa.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
How well you have caught the movement of that spray
ReplyDeleteIt takes time to find the perfect ones...
ReplyDeleteyup I do the same except with shells.
ReplyDeleteI expect so many people do different things with those stones..
ReplyDeleteNicely composed Andy. In the low corner with a lot of space before diagonally.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice photo, collect stones? Not my idea...
ReplyDeleteAt where my husband is in the hospital staying as he had that massive stroke. Stones are placed on top of the ground with nice decorative art work. Some with names. Yes there is all kinds of ideas with picked stones as you took the picture.
ReplyDeleteUna hermosa instantánea. Esa es una actividad que casi todos hemos llevado a cabo alguna vez.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo,
My aunt does that.
