Driving at night is considerably more difficult and dangerous than driving during the day. Above all else, slow down.

...slowing down, some will never get it!
ReplyDeleteGood advice especially in that kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteThat is what is coming tonight, Andy! I'll be staying home!
ReplyDeleteI used to hate driving when it was snowing.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting some of that later on.
ReplyDeleteI would drive more slowly if I was going outside, but it's too cold to go anywhere. It is now -15°F, not a fit night out for man nor beast.
ReplyDeleteI hope that people drive to the conditions and not like lunatics.
ReplyDeleteI like this! Our snow is pretty much slush now. The roads are clear, the driveways are a bit lumpy. We live in the Country, and a power failure means no light, no heat, no water from the well--- plus the usual "DON'T FLUSH!" "DON"T OPEN THE REFRIGERATOR" We had a total of 7 power failures, but that seems to be over. We were lucky in that it didn't get all that cold--- I think 28 (F) was the lowest. Back to near 50 and rain(of course) over the next few days.
ReplyDeleteIf there are only summer tires under the car, then snow and slipperyness is really dangerous no matter how slow you drive.
ReplyDeleteWe should use winter tires (either studded tires or friction) in November-March. There is a slight adjustment in the time, if the weather requires it.
Still snowing I see. Not ideal for an evening trip.
ReplyDeleteAs if it never ends this winter.....
