Subway trains operate with two employees onboard. This one is the guard. Their duties are to ensuring riders enter and exit the train safely, the guard provides a crucial set of eyes scanning the platform, watching for people being harassed, for lost children, for people with mobility issues. In the case of medical emergencies on the platform or inside a moving train they are first responders.

  3. Subway trains are such a wonderful way to get around a city as they are inexpensive, fast, safe, and convenient, but they are not good during a pandemic. Hope we can reach herd immunity soon to get back to safe public transportation. Every adult needs a vaccination.
