Sunday Sky

Smoke from forest fires in northwestern Ontario made its way to southern Ontario last Sunday evening. It prompted a warning from Environment Canada about poor air quality and reduced visibility. Both Sunday evening's sunset and Monday morning's sunrise made for quite the view, with the sun and sky going to a fire red.

  1. ...Andy, you are the only one that I know that can make power lines look beautiful. I try to avoid them.

  4. Quite a glowing sky. It is amazing how the smoke has stretched across the continent. I saw a map of the path of the smoke in the NY Times and it was moving east across the top half the US and into Canada all the way to the east coast.

  5. The color of the sky looks like a threat. Hope the smoke and fires stays far away. We are 1,000 miles to the east, and we have been getting smoky skies here also.

  6. That doesn't look well that red sky, much bush fires in the area?

  7. And you thought well I'll just throw in a few more chimneys to reiterate the importance of clean air. But a beautiful shot it is.
