Water lilies are rooted in the soil at the bottom of the lake, with their leaves and flowers visible on the surface. They provides important benefits to the ecosystem. They create food and shelter for both aquatic and non-aquatic wildlife.

  2. Water Lilies play an important symbolic role in both Buddhist and Hindu religions. They are able to turn the muck at the bottom of a pond into beauty. Your photo captures that beauty. Yes Andy, I am hooked on reflections because they bring two worlds together in a surreal way, and because I enjoy having fun.

  4. That's a nice lily. Reminds me of the ones we used to have in our large pond. All now gone including pond.

  5. Nicely caught--- We have a few white ones like that and many yellow ones with smaller flowers--in the wetlands.
