The Henry J is an American automobile built by the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation and named after it's chairman, Henry J. Kaiser.

    My older sister had a boyfriend who drove a Henry J. It was an inexpensive, little car at the time, but innovated with the use of aluminum in the body.

    Henry J. Kaiser was a very creative industrialist. He built many liberty ships during the war, started the Kaiser- Frazer car company-- they made larger ones besides the Henry J. They were gutless but cheap, 1950-1954. The company health plan which began at his shipyards in Richmond, California (Near San Francisco) became the health care giant it is today. Even owned a TV station or two. He had an amazing home near the high school I went to. Finding a Henry J there is like finding a Canadian Mercury pickup truck in the US. Rare!
