Since 2006, Vandermeer Nursery has taken in many pet turtles in need of a place to live. They offer a temporary home for these reptiles in need who may be neglected, mistreated or are otherwise unwanted. Their end goal is finding appropriate new “forever” homes for the turtles. They also encourage photographers (like me) to take all the photos we want.
