Recovery is also rarity for bike owners, with Police citing the convertible nature of the bike, which can be quickly and easily converted into cash or parts and sold on the streets or online.

Walking the Halifax Water Front Trail I came across this couple doing something to their bikes.
As it turned out this is a bike mechanic stand for making minor repairs.

The heavy duty repair stand has a selection of tamper resistant tools and an air pump for tending most repairs on the fly. It even has QR codes for smart phone users to lookup common repair how to's. I have never seen anything like this before. I thought it was so cool.

Monday Bikes - The Well Dressed Skateboarder

Photographed November 6, 2013. Last August 2013, I started a photo project that I called "Monday Bikes". Every Monday (almost every Monday) I posted a bike related photo. The only rule I had was that it to have bike in it... either peddle power or motorized. I have finally run out of different ways to photograph them. So today's posting is the end of the series. Even though she's not riding a bike I thought it was a novelty that she is in the bike lane. Now I need to find a new subject that I can maintain and enjoy.
