...they are seen too often here!
ReplyDeleteThey are always sobering to see, Andy!
ReplyDeleteI've seen several of these around here. Way too many now that I think of it.
ReplyDeleteA sad reminder.
ReplyDeleteStrangely enough we don't know the use of ghost bikes when there is enough reason to do so. Maybe it was because in the sixties we had the white bicycle plan whereby white painted bicycles could be used without having to pay, and you could leave it anywhere in town and the next user could ride it again. In the end it failed because everyone wanted to cycle but nobody had arranged the maintenance properly.
ReplyDeleteA very sad reminder!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a ghost bike post in a while. Achingly painful.
ReplyDeleteToo common sight in Finland too. That aside, great photography!
ReplyDeleteNever seen before of heard of that, but what a good idea, and beautifully photographed.
ReplyDeleteThat is a sad look, must be dangerous to cycle there.
ReplyDeleteMuy bien captada la imagen en recuerdo de los que dejaron su vida por la imprudencia de otros.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo y cuidate.
