From the archives of 2018. The show is much more than a Military Tattoo that takes place in Halifax Nova Scotia. If you are there next year from June 25 to July 2, 2022 I highly recommend you attend the show. It is well worth it.

Tanks A Lot
| The Holy Roller, a permanently mounted Sherman tank, stands tribute to the Canadian WWII effort and to the 700 men of the First Hussars regiment. __ |
| The tank is thought to be the only one of its kind to survive the North-West Europe Campaign from D-Day to VE Day. It currently sits as a memorial tribute at Victoria Park in London, Ontario. |

National Day Of Honour
The Government of Canada has set aside this day to mark the end of our country’s military mission in Afghanistan. This will be a time to pay tribute to the fallen, the sacrifices of the wounded and the special burden borne by military families. Afghanistan was Canada's first combat mission after nearly 50 years of peace keeping missions around the world.

Lest We Forget - Canada Remembers
This war memorial of a WWI soldier stands as reminder of those scarficed so much for us. World War One was believed by many to be “The War To End All Wars”. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians will pause in memory of the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service.Thursday, June 06, 2013

Model "A" Acres Bed & Breakfast
This is my third consecutive post in a row of photos from Model "A" Acres Bed & Breakfast. This life size model of a Sopwith Camel is another of Ian Baron's creations. He built it to commemorate "The Year of the Veteran" in 2005

Remembrance Day

The Colville Memorial Clock Tower was erected in remembrance of three brothers: William, age 25, Alexander, age 28, and John Colville, age 24, from Bowmanville. The Colville brothers were killed in action while serving as pilots overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. The memorial clock tower is dedicated to their memory.*************************************

Canadian Military

The picture was taken over two years ago in Halifax, Nova Scotia. There was a small military parade coming up the street and I happen to be in the right place at the right time. It brings to mine that in Canada, tomorrow is Remembrance Day. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians are asked to pause in memory of the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service. Today Canada's young men and women of the military have taken on a major role in the Afghanistan war. Lest We Forget.
