Every year on this day I pay tribute to those that took part on the beaches of Normandy
in the bloody battle of the repatriation of Europe from the Nazis.

  1. Yes . I saw the places were the Canadians has landed. I learned that that day alone 3000 British and Canadian men lost their lives. Lets hope that history will not repeats itself.

  7. When my son was young he had a documentary called "Night Bombers" all about the Lancaster Bomber's role in WW II. He must have watched it 1000 times, and knew every line by heart. Thank you for posting your photo of this historic aircraft. My Dad landed at Normandy after the beach was taken and then fought all across France and Germany.

We owe so much to those brave young men on the beaches of Normandy and in fact all the battles of those evil days ~ Eddie

  10. My dad and brothers went to Normandy to fight. My dad worked in De Havilland where they made
    several jet engines

My dad was in World war 2. Your tribute is appreciated. My one brother had a grenade hit his leg and took side of his flesh . My other brother had a bomb shell-hit his ear drums and deafen him permanently.
