Bailey Bridge located in the former Township of Scarborough. The area is now part of the City Of Toronto.

On October 15, 1954 Hurricane Hazel severely damaged or washed out several bridges. A number of bailey bridges

This bridge is the last of those remaining in service. The supports were constructed from heavy lumber.

  4. Very interesting, Andy! «Louis» has read a lot of WWII history, and is thus familiar with Bailey Bridges - but these are the best photos of them he's seen.
