In The Picture - Write On!

Andy | Friday, February 24, 2012 | Best Blogger Tips

A strange thing happen to me the day I took this photo. A flashback to February 3, 2012 and I'm trying to think of something for today's 365 self photo number 247. It came into my mind that I should go to a sandy beach on Lake Ontario and write my name in sand. So off I went. Afterwards when I got home that's when what I thought was something strange happen. I turned on my computer and surfed to the Urban Muser's "In The Picture" web page. I wanted to find out the theme for February. Wow! What a surprise to see that the February theme is "write on!" What a coincidence. How did I get that message into my mind. Does the Urban Muser have the power of mental telepathy? I'm linking to In The Picture.

  2. Great shot, love the blurriness of the waves in the background. So tell us your prediction for March and let's test that telepathy out!

  3. I noticed you are wearing sandals. You may have telepathic urges but I'd also guess that before you finished taking this picture you had cold feet! I wear sandals all year round but I live in Florida for crying out loud!

Oh, btw, as I've mentioned to EG, about 1/2 of all Ontario is currently in Ocala!

    Also, btw, love the shot!

  5. Hey Andy...I really love this image. You've captured you in two ways-that's wonderful. The blur of the wave makes a great backdrop. Hope you didn't get your toes wet. I find the beach such an inspiration and caught some self images there too.
On another note. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the word verification "thing" on your page. Everytime I have to do that I want to scream. It's making me NUTS. I hope the word gets around to all. Have a great day.

    1. To get the blur of the wave I had the shutter speed set to 1/5 of a second. It was a bit of a challenge for an old guy like me to sit there in that position with out moving.

  9. Hey there, Andy! Got a quick break out from behind the China Firewall to link to {in the picture} and to visit you... it's no small feat! Posting to my blog is difficult so I started a Flickr account just for this little project. I didn't realize that you're already well on your way with these selfies.. good for you! This one is terrific... and your story is so cool. I took my shot today when I had completely forgotton about this month's theme... so there's a bit of telepathy here too! Cheers!
