More Snow

It's official. As I sit safe and sound in my home taking photos of my neighbours driving off to work, I have decided to call a snow day.

Highway 407 East toll road expansion has resulted in the exportation of land and buildings. This is one of the homes that now stands vacant awaiting demolition.

I was getting worried as the snow began to drift higher than my boots.

Finally I became brave enough to open the door.

This was the only squirrel that showed up for his daily feed of peanuts.

The sparrows stayed close to the feeder all day. I made sure it never ran out. I did venture outside later and shoveled the snow. Because the snow was coming down heavy my camera stayed indoors.

My son and I were on mural photo shoot last summer when we ended up in graffiti alley.

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

Due to the lousy weather that's keeping me indoors I have had to dig into my photos from last summer. Located in the State Maine, USA Pemaquid Point Light was built in 1827. The station sits on a sloping, rocky promontory with dramatic ridges left by the pounding sea. The tower's original Fresnel lens is still in use. The keeper's house now hosts a Fishermen's Museum. It exhibits equipment, photos and artifacts from the fishing and lobstering industries as well as the lighthouse service.
