I was getting worried as the snow began to drift higher than my boots.
****************************************
I photographed this one through the stained glass on my front door.
****************************************
Finally I became brave enough to open the door.

This was the only squirrel that showed up for his daily feed of peanuts.
****************************************
The sparrows stayed close to the feeder all day. I made sure it never ran out. I did venture outside later and shoveled the snow. Because the snow was coming down heavy my camera stayed indoors.
Yes really winter. Nice that you think about the birds its also cold for them.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of snow, exciting!
ReplyDeleteLove the boot shot! That is a lot of snow. I wish we could have just a little of yours. Take care!
ReplyDeleteBest winter boots I have had in my entire life. They are about 20 years old and made by Red Wing Shoes.
DeleteI woke up to drifts like that, too. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. The boots make a eye catcher as well. Look so polished. Yupp that was my day yesterday Andy. Seeing I am trying to lose those pounds from Christmas to be thin for Spring. I did a demo on my blog today of me. Also have alook at my walking my hubby had done for my walk this week. He is a Darling.
ReplyDeleteIt said we are going to not have the snow stay as it said. Moving to my friends area. N.B and N.S. We can share aye Andy we dont mind.
I just LOVE that photo of the squirrel! He is one determined squirrel! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the first shot of the boots against the heaping snowfall outside. but that squirrel took the cake! bless their little hearts! be safe!
ReplyDeleteWith these photos I get the drift that it's awful. I usually try to shovel often so that I don' have to contend with the deep stuff...like over my boots.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're getting quite a winter blast. Stay warm.
ReplyDeletePretty much what we got here in Bowmanville. That first photo is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is very clever. All of these are very brave, esp. the one where you dared to open the door. I would not have gotten out of bed!
ReplyDeleteThat was a brave squirrel - the snow was so soft, I am amazed he didn't sink!
ReplyDeleteI love that first shot! I also didn't want to stay out long getting the camera soaked...you caught some good ones even with the wet blast! (We got nothing compared to you guys, not sure what the big deal was:)
ReplyDeletePoor squirrel!
ReplyDeleteAnd that's a lovely shot of the boots.
