Very nice done, you can see every detail of the bird. He has a lot of wood to pick yet.
ReplyDeleteWow still a very good birdshot. It looks like it is not necessary to have a big 600mm to get a great one. Very well done Andy.
ReplyDeleteLucky indeed. I get few bird shots for the same reason - plus a lack of patience!
ReplyDeleteWow Andy, fabulous!
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot! I love his red head!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo with great detail and composition. The slanted tree trunk is a perfect perch for the bird!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. I agree that a telephoto in the 400mm range is needed for even a rudimentary focus.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo. Birds are frustrating to photograph. I'm not willing to spend my retirement funds on a lens :-o
ReplyDeleteExcellent! This is something more than lucky...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It's just perfect...what a handsome fella!
ReplyDeletePerfect shot!
ReplyDeleteYou did well, Andy!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Andy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colour on this one, Andy!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how they got this name as their bellies are white, not red. But of course the name redheaded woodpecker was already taken. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteYou took a great shot!
ReplyDeleteVery successful dart. When you rarely take pictures of birds, so success will bring great joy.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely shot, Andy.
