Frenchman's Bay Marina

The ice has gone and the boats are returning from their winter storage. The Dragon Boats moored in front of "RELIC" is a sure sign that boating season is on the way.

Smartphone Monday

Starting today I am changing the header on my photo project about phones, from Cell Phone to Smartphone. Technically, a cell phone is not smart. Most smartphones connect to a virtual store with thousands of apps that turn the phone into something much smarter than a regular phone. With a smartphone one can check email, get navigation instructions, make reservations at a restaurant, do your shopping on the internet along with many, more things.

Cold Hearts

A driver backed a car out of the driveway creating these heart shaped markings in the snow.

Abandoned Veterans Village

Location: London, Ontario. Built in 1946, the Western Counties Health and Occupational Center served as a rehabilitation center for World War II veterans, not only as a physiotherapy center where vets could recuperate, but as training grounds to reenter civilian life. Over time, the patient population began to dwindle, and by 1984, patients were moved to new facilities. The building was completely abandoned by the year 2000.

Sleeping Beauty

I had the height advantage when I came across this swan catching up on her (his?) sleep.
