Fishing In Port Hope

Photo taken last September 9th. In the fall, between late August and early October, you can watch the chinook and silvery coho salmon migration in the Ganaraska River. Mixed in with the fall run, you may also see migratory brown trout.

  2. I admire the patience of the fishermen and their ability to fish in water that is not always warm and in any weather. Pretty light

  9. Seems to me that they used to have some kind of event called "Row your fanny down the Ganny" or something like that. Does that still take place?

    1. Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny is a 10km race along the Ganaraska River to commemorate the 1980 flood that crippled Port Hopes downtown area.
