This photo brought on a 'bout of nostalgia. We aren't door to door yet but have watched 'settlement' take over much of the farm land in our area over the years.
ReplyDeleteoooooh i wonder how you feel about that?? congestion, lots of kids in the schools...i wonder if the area needs this? progress, development, change...it is often difficult as we all love these old barns and farms. that's a huge change!!
ReplyDeleteooooh and a beautiful picture, save it, it will be a nice reminder!!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad to see the farms disappear, Andy.
ReplyDeleteAnd where will those cows go?
ReplyDeleteSad to see urban sprawl covering the landscape. We are paving over tens of thousands of acres of farm land every year. This is not sustainable.
ReplyDeleteSad to see this disappear.
ReplyDelete...charming in deed!
ReplyDelete"Take down the trees
ReplyDeletePutt up a parking lot"... Joni Mitchel...
it's a shame to loose farmland to build an urban community Andy...
....peter:)
You make this cozy even though it is a cold winter scene.
ReplyDeleteGobbling up yet more farmland. There's only so much arable land. Not a developer cares.
ReplyDeleteOh that is how it goes with farmland unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteNice capture, the sheep are sheltering.
That's very sad. Who will we be when we're robbed of rural heritage, not to mention the food and fiber it provides?
ReplyDeleteWe see many barns like this in this part of the world. WE will miss them when they are gone!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice landscape Andy. Pity it will disappear.
ReplyDeleteTimes pass by and changes things...nothing will last for ever nowadays...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful old barns! The same process happens here regularly.
