Andy, I think you are very wise to stay off that ice. Beside, your long lens got the shot you wanted.
ReplyDeleteI'd be right there with you. I can't think of anything worse than falling into freezing water.
ReplyDeleteThis has not been a good winter for ice. I'd be on the shore with you, Andy!
ReplyDeleteYou have to be really keen on fishing to be able to fish statically in this way without moving around in the cold weather.
ReplyDelete...I remember in the old days when winters were cold and wintery that Lake Erie would freeze solid and you could walk to Canada.
ReplyDeleteI do not trust that I would not have fallen and cracked my camera lens.
ReplyDeleteIce fishing can be fun. We also have where I live ice fishing.
ReplyDeleteGreat moment!
I don't get the appeal of ice fishing to begin with, and I wouldn't trust the ice either.
ReplyDeleteHiciste bien siendo precavido. Para hacer buenas fotografías no es necesario acercarse demasiado.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
I wonder about those who go out on the winter ice!
ReplyDeletei am not keen on fishing so i too would not venture out. but a nice photo opportunity still.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. And I don't get sitting still outside on ice, fish or no fish.
ReplyDeleteNot for me too Andy. Cold all day long.
ReplyDeleteThe men doesn't seem to bother the thin ice, they look very relaxed...
ReplyDeleteFair enough at least if the ice gives way you will remain dry.
ReplyDeleteWinter fun for some.
