...a day to remember.
ReplyDeleteA day never to be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post commemorating this historic day. I believe this is a Lancaster Bomber used in WWII, quite a rare aircraft these days.
ReplyDeleteThere hasn't been as much attention paid to it this year with everything else going on in the world. Lest we Forget!
ReplyDeleteHe never talked about it but my father was there. "The Greatest Generation" got that name for good reason.
ReplyDeleteoh yes! always important to remember these dates.
ReplyDeleteWe have grown up knowing we won! Think about those who lived through it who did NOT know. They could only hope. Well done, everyone. We are grateful.
ReplyDeleteWell, it was the Canadians who liberated the Netherlands and many Dutch girls went with them back to Canada.
ReplyDeleteIt's important that we all remember that day.
ReplyDeleteA magnificent plane.
